My target 210 kms

I've created this page because I want to make a difference.

Every year, thousands of families from around New Zealand will turn to a Ronald McDonald House for free accommodation and support during their child’s medical treatment.

I want to make a difference for these families by taking part in the House to House challenge!

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button.

A Ten Km day by lunch time

Sunday 7th Mar
Planned a big walk. Got trounced by sheet rain, a delude with flooring side walks, mud, gale force winds intermittently. I cut it short after the fourth time I got soaked straight through. Discovered a coffee shop I didn't know about and walked along at river a bit. Sunshine now, but that's how I got caught last time. Tricky. I guess I might be a masochist after all cause I am seriously thinking of walking to town and grabbing another coffee. For the cause 😜

Sunday 28th Feb
Well, February was a wash. But I feel, March, I'll be marching to the magic 210km number. Well, walking. I've made myself a side challenge, once getting to 210, I'll give running/jogging or walk running a go, purely after the 210 due to my age and thickness, injury would be likely. I'll remind myself "doing it for charity" knowing friends, coworkers and relatives who will also be doing the same, and who have used the Ronald McDonald House services in their time of need. If that doesn't work, I'll remind myself, it's good for my health. Though my doctor reminds me that everytime I see them. I'll post a few photos of my walks, and will post some pics of my competitors, ummm, I mean other participants who are on the same journey.... Right, here we go
